Just say No! to U.S. Airways
It’s my soapbox, so I get to complain. Remember when I got bumped coming back from DC to New Orleans? Well evidently it’s basically impossible to redeem the vouchers as advertised. The best I can do with a month lead time to get from here to Los Angeles and back is a nine- or ten-hour flight connecting through Charlotte. I can’t use the round-trip voucher, I can just get $200 off. And they swear that they don’t even have flights to Ontario, California, despite their website clearly showing them.
Never use U.S. Airways unless you absolutely cannot help it. I’m dreading spring break as is, and this trip to Riverside right after it.

About this weblog
This is mainly an expository blath, with occasional high-level excursions, humorous observations, rants, and musings. The main-line exposition should be accessible to the “Generally Interested Lay Audience”, as long as you trace the links back towards the basics. Check the sidebar for specific topics (under “Categories”).
I’m in the process of tweaking some aspects of the site to make it easier to refer back to older topics, so try to make the best of it for now.
I have similar opinions of United from my San Diego trip. And, alas, it now is too late to not use US Airways for my Big US Roundtrip in March/April - but I’ll keep your experiences in mind for the future.
